Raaz was released in 2002 and was declared a blockbuster back then. It was praised by fans and critics alike because of its good story and the fear factor involved in it. However, very few people know that Bipasha Basu was not the first choice of Vikram Bhatt for the role of Sanjana in Raaz.
According to Vikram Bhatt's Twitter account, the role was offered to Lisa Ray first. She even shot for a few days but later backed out. The role then went to Bipasha Basu and the rest is history. Bipasha Basu is now known as Bollywood's Horror Queen.
Interestingly, Vikram Bhatt tweeted on a day when Lisa Ray's latest movie 'Veerappan' got released.
