"Patiala Babes" actress Paridhi Sharma has been roped in to play Maa Vaishnodevi in "Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi: Kahani Mata Rani Ki".

"Patiala Babes" actress Paridhi Sharma has been roped in to play Maa Vaishnodevi in "Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi: Kahani Mata Rani Ki".

The show's previous lead, Puja Banerjee, had to quit citing some personal reasons.

"I am really excited to play such an epic character in the show. I am really thankful to the makers of the show for believing in me and choosing me for this character. It is now a big responsibility to portray an important character as such. I believe in giving my 200 percent when it comes to playing any character," she said.

"I have already started to watch a few episodes of the show to understand the character even more," she added.

"Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi- Kahani Mata Rani Ki" also stars actors like Madirakshi Mundle, Ishita Ganguly and Manisha Rawat.

The show airs on Star Bharat.
