Actor Parmeet Sethi feels one can't plan a ‘blockbuster hit film. He says a film becomes a natural hit based on the efforts invested in it.

The actor is glad that he became a part of cinematic history by being a part of the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol romantic blockbuster "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ).

"It is the simplicity of the film that touched hearts. The comedy was really funny, the romance was beautiful, the drama too was effective. Also, we don't plan a ‘blockbuster hit' film, it becomes a natural hit based on the efforts we put in," Parmeet said.

"I believe DDLJ was a milestone for all of us including SRK, Kajol and director Aditya Chopra who was directing his first film. It had to be big. Sometimes most common things work magically on the screen. Whereas, sometimes meticulously planned things fail. I am happy that I am a part of history," he added.

The film follows the romance of two NRIs who despite being madly in love refuse to elope. The film became popular for its plot, dialogues and music.

The actor feels the small screen has a role to play in the success story of the film.

"It is ingrained in the system of the young generation. It is good to see when you ask anyone if they have seen DDLJ and you get a reply ‘Han maine dekhi hain tv pe''. It is a perfect family entertainer that fills your heart with positive emotions," he said.

The film will air on the small screen on June 9 on Sony MAX.
