A documentary on Aparna Rajawat's Pink Belt Mission is going to be screened at Jaipur Film Festival of Januray 19. The documentary, directed by American filmmaker John McCrite, records the journey of Rajawat as she takes on the mission to empower women across the country to protect themselves.

"What inspired me to make the documentary was Aparna was the fact that the statistics seemed so grim. Every thirteen minutes there is a reported case of rape in India. And that is just the reported ones. Aparna is trying to do something about that and she started her organization Pink Belt Mission. To see someone fight back for the betterment of India. That's what inspired me and I wanted to help by making the documentary. Film has the potential to reach so many across the world. These issues aren't exclusive to India. It's global. I am really looking forward to the film getting screened at Jaipur Film Festival," McCrite told IANS.

Said Rajawat: "I felt very happy as this movie will help Pink Belt Mission to get more helping hands to spread a word among the mass that everything can be changed for the betterment of women .It was a great feeling to be recognised by someone and be appreciated to the extent of making a film on the mission.I sincerely thank John Mcrite for believing in me. I started the mission in 2016," she says.
