Anuradha Paudwal celebrates her birthday on 27th Oct. The magic of her voice is such that even today people are passionate about her songs, although she has been away from Limelite for a long while. On her birthday, let us hear her magical voice, yet again.

Anuradha Paudwal is an award-winning Indian playback singer, with several hit songs under her belt. From Dhak Dhak Karne Laga to Mujhe Neend Na Aaye, the Padma Shri awardee, recipient of the National Film Award and a four-time winner of the Filmfare Award, has us given some memorable filmy songs. Even though, Anuradha Paudwal moved to lend her voice to bhajans after her stint in Bollywood, her songs from the 90s are still revered and remembered by fans all over the globe.

Anuradha's husband Arun Poudwal was Assistant to the famous composer SD Burman. Arun himself was a music composer. In 1973 Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri's 'Abhimaan' was being shot and SD Burman was composing the music for it. Meanwhile, Burman remembered the verse that his assistant Arun had recorded in the voice of his wife Anuradha.

In the nineties, Anuradha Paudwal was on the peak of her career, at the same time her husband Arun died in an accident. After this family's responsibilities were on Anuradha. Anuradha Paudwal made a distance from playback singing on the peak of her career. She told the reason behind this that people will remember her only if she leaves working at a peak. She has also been honored with the Padma Shri award. Apart from this, she won three Filmfare awards for 'Aashiqui', 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin' and 'Beta'.
