Anand Rai had roped in R. Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan for his next movie. He wanted to reunited the cast of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. However, according to the latest reports, the script of the movie has gone through a major change and required a younger actor.
Sidharth Malhotra has been approached post the change in the script and Saif Ali Khan has been ousted from the project. The movie is being directed by Navdeep Singh, who earlier made movies like Phillauri, NH10 and Manorama Six Feet Under.
Madhavan shares a great rapport with Rai, as he’s earlier worked in two editions of the Tanu Weds Manu franchise. Rai's 2015 movie Tanu Weds Manu: Returns received critical acclaim as well as box office success.
