Karan Johar's next joint production with Salman Khan featuring Akshay Kumar will be very similiar to Ajay Devgan's upcoming movie Sons of Sardaar.

Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was in direct competition with Shivaay last year. ADHM performed better than Shivaay and was critically more acclaimed then Ajay's Shivaay which did decent business but didn't live up to expectations. KRK's involvement made the fight even murkier.

Karan Johar and Salman Khan have joined hands to produce a movie starring Akshay Kumar. According to the leaked plot of this film, Akshay plays Havaldar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers during British India who on 12 September 1897 during what came to be famously known as the Battle Of Saragarhi led his men through a deadly battle against thousands of Afghani invaders.

Interestingly, Ajay Devgan is also expected to play same Sikh Character Ishar Singh in a project that was announced last year. Devgn’s film titled Sons Of Sardaar: Battle Of Saragarhi was announced by the actor-producer-director as his next big project after Shivaay.

If we recall, Shivaay makers had asked KRK to write negative reviews about ADHM and also did everything in their control to delay the release of ADHM so that Shivaay had no competition at the box office. Karan Johar didn't budge and his movie performed way better than Shivaay.

Karan Johar isn't that forgiving in nature and is still not over his fight with Ajay Devgan. He wants to take it to the next level. And with him announcing a heavyweight film like this which is similar to Ajay's film and also securing the support of Salman, it's already a victory for Karan. Let us only hope that the best content provider wins.
