Salman Khan is back with a bang after his disastrous eid release Tubelight. Tiger Zinda Hai has created a new record at the box office.

Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has got a huge opening at the box-office. According to BoxOfficeIndia, "Tiger Zinda Hai is heading for a non holiday opening day record for the Hindi film industry not including Bahubali - The Conclusion which came from the Telegu film industry."

"The opening looks set to finish a huge 35 crore nett as per early estimates with collections outside metros being extraordinary considering it is not a holiday. Dhoom 3 holds the record at the moment for the highest non holiday record at 32.48 crore nett and it looks to be beaten by around 10% though the GROSS figures between Dhoom 3 and Tiger Zinda Hai will be similar. Dangal last year grossed 29.16 crore nett which was also a non holiday release", adds BoxOfficeIndia.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, Tiger Zinda Hai features Salman Khan as Tiger, Katrina Kaif as Zoya, Sajjad Delfrooz as Abu Usman and Paresh Rawal as Tohbaan. Excluding Salman Khan's fees, the rest of the film's production budget is reportedly ₹140 crore (US$22 million). This makes it one of the most expensive Yash Raj Films productions, along with Thugs of Hindostan.
