Karwaan might not be the roller coaster ride you expected it to be, but it leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling in the heart that says all's well that ends well.Three disparate souls with father issues crammed into one van with a dead body that needs to reach its correct destination.

Akarsh Khurana's Karwaan is just not a mere road trip film. The movie showcases much deeper facts about life. The filmmaker uses death as a theme to make us realize that when you let go, you create space for something better. The news of his father’s sudden death takes Avinash and his friend Shaukat (Irrfan) from Bengaluru to Kochi, a journey that gives them time to introspect on their lives.

Shot across the most beautiful places in South India, Karwaan takes its time to connect the dots and disclose the dilemmas that haunt its three distinct characters — Avinash (Dilquer), Shaukat (Irrfan) and Tanya (Mithila). You don’t instantly warm up to them, nor they to each other, as the intimate human interaction and confrontation you expect in the story comes much later.

Talking about the performance, Irrfan Khan brings in a fresh whiff of humour with his terrific comic timing and his hilarious one-liners that leave you asking for more. Despite getting a half-baked character, he is one of the finest actors in cinema, breathes life into the film. Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan proves yet again why he is one of the best talents in the industry. With his simplicity, charm and powerhouse performer DQ has a tight grip on the emotions and makes sure your eyes don't leave the frame even for a minute. Kriti Kharbanda is likable in her special appearance.
