Bollywood comedian Mahmood's son Lucky Ali turns 59 today. Though he has been off the music radar lately, we still remember him for these songs.

Born as Maqsood Mahmood Ali on September 19, 1958 in Mumbai, Lucky Ali is a singer, a songwriter, a composer and an actor. Best known for his music, singing and acting, Ali has also bred horses, worked on an oil rig off the coast of Pondicherry in South India, cleaned and sold carpets and is a farmer with a strong opinion on organic methods in farming.

Ali debuted in Bollywood with the song "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum", featured in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai in 2000 and also received a Filmfare award for the same. He was also nominated for the Best Playback Singer Male for "Aa bhi jaa", featured in Sur in 48th Filmfare Awards.

Here are some of the most popular songs sung by Lucky Ali:

Lucky made my childhood really special with his soulful voice in Sifar. The song 'O Sanam' is one of the most soothing songs that I have listened to.

Dekha Hai Aise Bhi is another song sung by Lucky Ali that was way ahead of its time, both in singing and filming. This music video had that international appeal to it.

Aa Bhi Jaa - Sur: Lucky Ali was nominated for a Filmfare Award for this song. He lost to Sonu Nigam but the song is still one of his most popular songs.

Na Tum Jaano Na Hum - Kaho Na Pyaar Hai

This song fetched Lucky Ali a Filmfare Award. The song featured Hrithik Roshan in his debut movie.
