1. Ishq: Did you know that Madhuri Dixit was the first choice for Indra Kumar's Romantic Comedy Ishq? After Raja became a huge commercial success, Indra Kumar was keen to work with Madhuri Dixit again and the director offered Ishq to her, however Madhuri Dixit didn't have dates. The role was then offered to Juhi Chawla.
2. Damini: Meenakshi Sheshadri is famous for her performance in Damini, however she wasn't the first choice for the role. Madhuri Dixit was also offered the lead role in Damini. As usual she faced serious dates problem and so the role went to Meenakshi Sheshadri and the rest is history.
3. 1942: A Love Story: Vinod Chopra had worked with Madhuri in Parinda and wanted her for 1942: A Love Story. However first Madhuri could not find dates, and when she did, Chopra wasn't too accommodating. VVC then refused to give her the money she charged, plus he treated her like an irresponsible newcomer. In the end he said she lacked dedication, which hurt Madhuri a lot, as she felt it was an attack on her professionalism, and she was thrown out without being informed. The role then went to Manisha Koirala. The movie bombed at the box-office though.
4. Khamoshi: Yet another musical that Manisha Koirala bagged thanks to Madhuri Dixit turning down the offer. Madhuri was the first choice for Bhansali´s Khamoshi. Yet again Madhuri didn't have the dates as she was busy with Prem Granth.
