In the long-running controversy, film Padmavat was finally released but violence and protest continued in many states. There is news of violence in many places despite heavy security arrangements. The movie has not been released due to violence in many places. According to the information received, the cinema owners of Patna declared that they will not release the film.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that people protesting against the film are BJP workers. He said that it is a big irony that they are playing both sides, protesters and the protectors themselves. Yogi government is a danger to democracy. On the other hand, outside the cinema hall in Varanasi, the police has caught a man trying to kill himself in protest.

In Haryana, the situation is similar to unannounced bans on the film in the state. Due to the threat of the Karni Sena, 80 percent of theater owners have decided not to screen Padmavat. To maintain peace, the administration has imposed Section 144 in many cities including Hissar, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Gururgram, Faridabad, Palwal.

Pakistan Censor Board has granted permission to show Padmavat in Pakistan. It is being said that without any cuts the film can be shown in Pakistan.
