Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa is on a song-releasing spree. Almost a month after he wooed his fans with Downtown, he is back with a new song. Titled Tere Te, the song is an out and out Punjabi dance number composed by Vee. The lyrics are written by Ikka, who has also rapped for the song.

The video is shot inside a studio and features model and actress Zaara Yesmin alongside Guru and Ikka. Talking about collaborating with Guru, Zaara said in a statement,“This is the first time that I am joining hands with Guru Randhawa as his actress in this song. It’s a dance number and it’s quite different from other songs of Guru. It has been choreographed by Melvin Louis and directed by Gifty. We all have worked really hard to create this song. It’s a hot New Year anthem for all party people out there.”

Tere Te features Guru Randhawa dropping Punjabi lyrics to an uplifting dance melody incorporated with Indian rapper Ikka's rap verses. The single's infectious rhythm and desi lyrics are packed with astonishing dance moves and VFX for a visual treat. The single characterizes a much-needed modern sound and mix that is perfectly tailored for music parthies. Featuring Zaara Yesmin and Ikka, the poster looked all quirky and it had definitely increased the excitement of the viewers. Zaara Yesmin, who has earlier worked with renowned singers like Darshan Raval and Falak Shabir, has this time joined hands with Guru Randhawa to give this amazing dance number.

About the song, the composition is a huge turn-off and the lyrics are rather amateurish. Guru’s voice is overly auto-tuned and is rather annoying to the ears. It’s a pity that the music producer has reduced a pleasant-sounding voice to a cacophony. It is difficult to imagine that one is listening to the singer who has crooned songs like High Rated Gabru, Tu Meri Rani and Suit Suit.  Guru, for those not in the know, is the most-viewed Indian singer on YouTube. His song Lahore, with more than 630 million views to its credit, is the most-watched Indian song.
