Lata Mangeshkar Pays Tribute To Manna Dey On His Death Anniiversary

Singer Manna Dey died of a cardiac arrest on 24th October, 2013 at Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital in Bengaluru, aged 94. On his death anniversary, Lata Mangeshkar paid tribute to this legendary singer. She Tweeted, "Aaj mahan gayak Manna Dey sahab ki punyatithi hai. Main unke suron ko pranam karti hun." She also shared the famous Manna Dey song 'Laga Chunri Mein Daag Chhupaun Kaise".
Manna Dey recorded more than 4,000 songs in his life and the Government of India had honoured him with the Padma Shri in 1971, the Padma Bhushan in 2005 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2007.
