Rock On 2 Movie Review: A Boring Flick

Rock On 2, starring Farhan Akhtar has received mixed reviews, mostly negative, from critics. Rock On 2 is a sequel to Rock On and stars Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Purab Kohli and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles.

Story: Farhan Akhtar has left Mumbai and moved to Shillong, Meghalaya to do farming and helping the farmers out there. Arjun, Purab, Sahana and Prachi go to Shillong to celebrate his Birthday and to convince Farhan to come back to Mumbai. Shraddha Kapoor gallivants around there. Farhan comes back to Mumbai to Sing and then the characters keep juggling between Shillong and Mumbai. While Farhan is in Mumbai, farmers call in seeking his help and Farhan leaves his family and friends to help the farmers in Meghalaya. Farhan plans a show in Meghalaya to help the farmers, bad boys try to interrupt and then the audience flock in to attend their show.

The screenplay is terrible and so are the dialogues. Though the music album of Rock On was a splendid success, the album of Rock On 2 has failed to cast a spell on the audience. The performance by the leading actors doesn't fail to impress the audience, but the story is quite weak. The twists seem forced and the introduction of the two new bandmates seem unnecessary. Farhan Akhtar generally keeps his character as the centre character and this movie does the same.

Watch this only if you are a Rock On groupie, otherwise skip it
