1. Her real name is Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan. She was born on the 13th of August, 1963.
2. One of Sridevi's most popular movies - 'Nagina' was released in 1986. Nagina was a hit at the box office and still remains one of the most popular snake movies ever made in Bollywood. Apparently, Filmfare awards were not held in 1986 and 1987 as the film industry was on strike. Sridevi would have definitely won an award for her brilliant performance had the award been held that year. To compensate for this, Filmfare presented Sridevi with a special award for Nagina in 2013 Filmfare Awards.
3. Nagina Nagina was first offered to Jaya Prada, however, she could not do the movie as she was scared of Snakes.
4. Beta was first offered to Sridevi, but she declined the offer as she had already done several movies with Anil Kapoor. The role later went to Madhuri Dixit and the rest is history.
5. Steven Spielberg wanted to cast Sridevi for Jurassic Park, however, she rejected the offer as she was at the peak of her career.
